Teachers -- Join the Pulsar Search Collaboratory (West)!

Online Sessions: Mondays at 6 PM CDT beginning October 1, 2012Teacher Workshop: October 19-21, 2012 at Yerkes Observatory

The National Radio Astronomy Observatory and West Virginia University cordially invites you and your students to collaborate with us in the grand adventure of scientific discovery!

• Stipends of up to $300 are available for completing the workshop and creating school-based teams.

• Room and board are provided. 

• 3 semester hours of graduate credit from West Virginia University is available. 

How can I get involved? By joining the Pulsar Search Collaboratory (PSC).

Students in school-based PSC teams will: 

• Gain first-hand experience in conducting scientific research; 

• Improve their 21st Century Skills; 

• Learn more about Science, Mathematics,Technology and Engineering (STEM) careers;

• All while actually helping astronomers search the Galaxy for new pulsars!
